No I
Effective immediately, I am changing the spelling of my dog’s name. I’m not sure of where I heard this, or even if it’s true, but I have come to believe that the spelling “Jessie” is the feminine version of the name, while “Jesse” is the masculine. To insure my dog’s positive male self-image, I am henceforth spelling his name without an “I”. I thought you would want to know.

Do you have any idea how much you’ll wind up spending on doggie therapy to deal with the previous not-so-positive male image you were giving him? Every time you wrote his name and he read it over your shoulder…um…..well, you get the drift.

Okay, I can’t resist this very bad joke:
It makes perfect sense for a blind dog to spell his name without an “i.”
Ahh the joy of homonyms.
Cheers!

I applaud your decision to finally come around to giving the dog a proper self-image. He was worried you weren’t fully accepting of his sexuality until now. Is there doggy braile? Now that his name is appropriate, he should learn how to “feel” it.
