1. So I’m watching Route 66 on DVD. It never ceases to amaze me how things we experienced years ago (decades, even) stay with us in ways we were never aware of. Those words. Those pictures. They’re all there.

2. I was googling around earlier, and found that the talented and beautiful actress Lois Nettleton, who had a long and varied career in TV (she played Isabel/Diane/etc on the famous “Suppose I Said I Was the Queen of Spain” episode of Route 66), movies and the stage, died recently of lung cancer.

3. Improv Everywhere. Fun!

4. I’m back temping at the UVa Art Museum.

5. The famous Skanky Pete kickball team continues its undefeated season. We are now 3-0 after a stunning defensive struggle against our friends and former teammates on Team Feet, 4-3. Not sure if this trend will continue, as we face two tough teams this weekend in a double-footer.

6. And on the subject of the kickball kids, a bunch of the team went out last night for a bowling night. I used to be a decent bowler - sometimes even good, depending on the competition. I think I have lost the magic though - I bowled an 88, then a 96.

7. Another old photo.

  1. May I recommend Wii bowling? It will make you feel a lot better about your bowling ability, although unlikely to make you a better bowler!
