Give. Away.
To see if anyone is actually reading this thing, and to assure the reader of the fact that I am indeed a comment whore, I am having an art giveaway. Basically, comment for your chance to win original art.
Rules:
1. 1 comment = 1 entry. Comment on multiple posts for multiple entries (but only the first post on any entry counts). Doesn’t have to be this post. Comment on any post you wanna comment on.
2. Winner will be from a random drawing among all commenters during the month of November. Doesn’t matter when the post was. Comment must be received in November.
3. Comment must be a real comment, actually related to the content. “Nice post” doesn’t cut it. You don’t have to write a novel every time, but you have to make me think you give a shit. If I don’t delete the comment, it counts as an entry. If it gets booted, it didn’t count. My decision is final: My blog, my rules.
4. No cost, no fees, no shipping charges, no nothin’. Just me being nice to my readers.
5. Winner will be notified by email in early December, and will receive a little (~4×3 or so) painting, similar to the one below. I’ll likely pick out 3 or 4 of these little pieces and let the winner select their fave from those.
If this is fun, I might do it every month.
Go ahead, play now.

A fantastic idea! Nice post! Oh wait, can’t say those things. I’d be curious to see how many entries you get, or if this sort of thing has been tried before. The idea certainly got me to come to your actual blog for the first time, rather than just read the post from the cvilleblogs RSS feed like I usually do. So, in that case, I think your gambit worked!
How long have you been painting?

I actually subscribe to your blog in my very own RSS feeder, not just cvilleblogs! I have actually forwarded one your posts to my sis in law because she loves rubber duckies.
Anyway, I would love to win some art because I cannot afford to buy art, I hope someday I can though!
THanks for the fun blog.

This piece reminds me of the road to Wesley Chapel ~ (Free Union, VA.), which holds a very unique place in my heart! I especially think that the colors are vividly appealing and that they capture the dawn light. It would be especially meaningful to have this wonderful piece in my collection. I have a true appreciation for the method in which you paint, and I have admired your artwork in my sisters’ home for years. ohhhh. and I have ‘The Right Place’ to have it in my home. He!

In a shameless bid to receive any of your work as a freebie, because I’m not in a position to purchase the ones I periodically lust over on your site, I’m throwing my hat in the ring. I have also been enjoying the pictures of one-eyed pooch for a while now, which is no small feat for a confirmed cat person. (Sure you don’t need another kitty, Andrew?)Cheers!

Well, you know all about me and my lust for your art and your girls. I miss them! The four lovelies I have still remain encased in my china cabinet as I haven’t decided where I want them to reside. I thought of my rec room, as it is my summer room, but I don’t spend a lot of time there. I am leaning more towards my bedroom. BUT, I love the comments I get on them lounging around in the dining room. “Why do you have pictures of naked women in your china cabinet?”
Because they can.
