Here's a link to my photos. Click on the "Motel" set.

Hope it doesn't seem too creepy that my first comment was posted under an alias, but I was using somebody else's computer who already had their email open–I thought I was going to have to verify the post or something so I just used her email address–not realizing it would turn into a "correspondance". These pictures on flickr are all kind of old. I stopped posting there because I started getting serious about printing my photos only to discover that after carefully calibrating all my equipment I discovered that images adjusted to print well looked awful when posted to flickr. It was very frustrating to spend a lot of time working on an image for print only to have extreme color and tonal shifts when viewed on a monitor in flickrs color space. maybe we'll bump into one another in derelict building sometime. cheers

I was in the upper building once just scouting around, but didn't shoot any pics. That whole place is great - I could spend a lot more time there. I loved that burned out room. And the assortment of junk left behind.

Yeah, she was a very good sport about posing in all sorts of funky/nasty environments. And I like the phrase "bottom of the hamster cage".

Would love to see some of your pics if you have any jpgs.

Thanks for the comment.

yeah, I've taken some pictures here as well and my initial recognition was confirmed when I looked through some more of your images. I like your pictures, but they are much "dreamier" than mine (hope that's taken the right way–positively) mine were more focused on the rotting aspect of that place. your model was very cooperative to lay down on that pile of newspapers. It's a nice image, but having seen that floor in reality I know there is a "bottom of the hampster cage aspect" to that newsprint. I also was able to take some pictures in the "upper" building before they knocked it down. did you ever get inside there?
